New
- Dambel has a dark theme. Pick it in Settings, under Appearance: follow your phone, or choose light or dark yourself. You can set it from the sign-in screen too, before you even have an account.
- In Farsi every date is a Jalali date, and so is every calendar you open to pick one.
- A short introduction the first time you open the app, and a question mark on each main screen that explains what you are looking at. Both are in Settings whenever you want them again.
- Login sessions, in Settings, shows every device signed in to your account and lets you sign any of them out. Dambel tells you when your account is used somewhere new.
- In the Cafe Bazaar version you can buy Premium through Bazaar itself, without leaving for a browser.
- On an iPhone or iPad, Safari now shows you how to add Dambel to your home screen.
- A gym owner can give someone else access to help run the gym, and that person gets their own place in My Gyms.
- Trainers can add a trainee by hand from the Trainees tab, and gym owners can add a subscriber from the subscribers screen, instead of waiting for the other person to sign up first.
- Workout details show what you lifted last time, and tell you when it is time to add a little weight.
- When something costs more than your wallet holds, Dambel says how much more you need and takes you straight to adding funds.
- The gym form has a My location button, so you can drop the pin where you are standing.
- On a tablet or a computer, notifications, chat, the assistant and your profile now sit in a bar across the top of the app.
- The privacy policy opens inside the app while you are signing up, so a half-filled form no longer disappears into a browser tab.
Improved
- Number fields take Persian digits, so the Farsi keyboard's number row works everywhere: phone numbers, weights, amounts and meal values.
- Buying Boost asks once, in one place, and tells you what you are agreeing to before it takes the money.
- Screens draw an outline of themselves while they load, and show a message with a retry button when something fails, instead of going blank.
- Everything stays readable at the largest system font sizes, and controls that were only an icon now have a name for screen readers.
- Picking a photo goes straight to your gallery, and Dambel no longer asks for the camera at all.
- Pull down to refresh on the trainee and subscription pages.
- Farsi wording is consistent across the app: one word per idea, and the same tone everywhere.
